green
While I was driving to work this morning I saw an old man in a polyester lime green suit. With a white shirt and a bright salmon colored tie and handkerchief. I wanted to take a picture so I could remember it forever but I was driving. I won't do it justice by describing it. It was true vintage. And hilarious!! Put a smile on my face. I might start stalking that neighborhood to get a second glimpse.

compliments
I had a long day of playing with 2 year olds yesterday. They are cute and fun but sometimes it is reeeally hard to be SUPER excited about bubbles and shape sorters. Lucky for me I received a series of fantastic compliments that made my day.

a case of the wednesdays
Ever have those days you feel like you should have stayed in bed? Today was such a day. I now know you can't escape Mondays. I didn't work Monday or Tuesday so instead I have a case of the Wednesdays.
- Not sleeping well the previous night.
- Having the heavy, heavy blinds fall on your face as you are putting the doggy door up.
- Touching your nose to rub away the pain and find your hand covered in blood.
- Trying not to cry on the phone to your boss that you are going to be late because you can't get the bleeding to stop and you fear a giant scar will soon be present on your face.
- Client #2 for the day is adorable and from Ghana - and nobody speaks English. And he likes to throw things. And cry. And climb on things. And change his mind every 2 seconds. And his parents don't seem to mind any of the above.
- MORE rain.
- Client #3 is still sick. Coughs, hacks and sneezes all over me. Then screams. Then throws up. Then kicks me in the face.

blink and a decade will pass
I hadn't thought much about how 2010 begins a new decade until radio stations were playing tops songs from the past decade, newspapers were reporting the top stories of the past decade, and friends blogged about big events in the past decade. Oh. It IS a new decade. Sometimes I'm rather oblivious to the signs around me. So here is my short, short summary on the 00's:
