compliments

I had a long day of playing with 2 year olds yesterday. They are cute and fun but sometimes it is reeeally hard to be SUPER excited about bubbles and shape sorters. Lucky for me I received a series of fantastic compliments that made my day.

#1) My niece commenting on Facebook about me, "She is the BOOM!" Pretty sure she meant bomb but BOOM made me smile :)

#2) 4 year old client giving me a big hug upon arriving at his house and telling me, "I think, I guess you are kind of beautiful." awwww! Even with the I think, I guess... I'll take it!

#3) Same 4 year old then telling me, "You're my best friend!" as he gave me another hug and patted my head like a dog.

headband scarves...aka reverse yarmulke

When I was in Utah for Christmas I met up at University Mall with my sister-in-law and nieces. I noticed a new weird fashion trend half of the women/girls at the mall were sporting: headband scarves. They are basically a knitted beanie with the back skull part cut out. A reverse yarmulke. I thought it looked really, well, dumb. Especially the girls wearing them with their hair down. Yikes! It was bad news.

I had my nieces model the headbands so I could blog about them. We may have been laughing a lot and making serious scarf headband shoppers mad. Oh well, they should know they are about to make a fashion "no".

P.S. If you are a lover of the reverse yarmulke...my apologies for offending you. To each their own :)
